This year the City of Safford has teamed up with Eastern Arizona Courier, McMurray Communications, Gila Valley Central and Magic 100.7 to help spread holiday cheer throughout downtown Safford. 

Businesses located within the block of 8th Avenue to Highway 191 and 8th Street to Highway 70 have been encouraged to help us light up downtown Safford by decorating their store windows.  Three winners will receive some amazing advertising packages from our sponsors.  Community members will be given the chance to vote for the "Fan Favorite" award.  Beginning November 25, which is our official kick off for the holiday season with Merry Main Street, businesses will have their windows lit for display.  From November 25 until December 12, we invite you to bring your family and friends or have a date night in Downtown Safford and check out the beautiful lights downtown.  While you're at it, show your support for local merchants this holiday season by shopping and dining locally. 

HOW TO VOTE: Participating businesses will have a number displayed within their window.  Ballots are available at the Safford City Annex located at 808 S 8th Avenue, Safford; in the December 7 edition of the Eastern Arizona Courier or you may vote via the City of Safford Facebook page.  Voting will end and ballots are due by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12.
