NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN that the City of Safford Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider for recommendation to the Safford City Council a proposal for the following:
Amend Zoning Ordinance Chapter 17.68 Size and Setback Requirements, Section 17.68.010 Summary of Zoning Regulations pertaining to maximum lot coverage and rear yard setbacks for residential districts.
Amend Chapter 17.28 R1-10 Single-Family Residential District, Section 17.28.020 Use Requirements pertaining to allowing pot-bellied pigs as a customary household pet. The R-10 Use Requirements also apply to the R1-6 Single-Family Residential District, the R-2A Duplex Residential District and the R-2 Multiple Family Residential District.
Amend Chapter 17.40 A-R Agricultural Residential District, Section 17.40.020 Use Requirements – Permitted Uses pertaining to the age of manufactured homes and allowing pot-bellied pigs as a customary household pet.
Amend Chapter 17.44 C-MH Conventional Manufactured Home District, Section 17.44.030 Use Requirements pertaining to the age of manufactured homes and allowing pot-bellied pigs as a customary household pet.
Amend Chapter 17.46 MHD Manufactured Home Development District, Section 17.46.020 Use Requirements pertaining to the age of manufactured homes and allowing pot-bellied pigs as a customary household pet.
The public hearing will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020, at the Safford City Graham County Library Program Room, 808 S. 7th Ave., Safford, Arizona.
The Planning and Zoning Commission’s recommendation will be presented to the City Council at a public hearing to be a held at 6:00 p.m. on January 11, 2021 in the Safford City Graham County Library Program Room, Safford Library Complex, 808 S. 7th Ave., Safford, Arizona.
