NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN that the City of Safford Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider for recommendation to the Safford City Council the following:
#1 A proposal to amend the City of Safford Zoning Ordinance Chapter 17.82 - Sign Regulations, Section 17.82.070 - Signs allowed by permit in commercial and/or industrial zones to allow one additional freestanding directory sign for business centers and to increase the sign size for each business identified. The applicant is Addisigns.
#2 A proposal to amend the City of Safford Zoning Ordinance Chapter 17.52 – C-2 Highway Commercial District, Section 17-52.020 – Use requirements - Permitted Uses to allow one conventional single-family dwelling on any lot or parcel in the C-2 Highway Commercial District, and, to remove the provision “dwellings when located above the ground floor, provided the ground floor is designed and used exclusively for a commercial purpose permitted in the zone.” The applicant is the City of Safford.
The Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing will be held at 5:30 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at the Safford City Graham County Library Program Room, 808 S. 7th Ave., Safford, Arizona. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommendation will go before the Safford City Council at a public hearing to be a held at 6:00 p.m. on March 9, 2020 in the Safford City Graham County Library Program Room, Safford Library Complex, 808 S. 7th Ave., Safford, Arizona.
