NOTICE OF ZONING HEARINGS
Notice is hereby given that the following zoning matter will be heard before the City of Safford Planning and Zoning Commission at a public hearing to be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 in Safford’s Library Program Room, Safford Library Complex, 808 S. 7th Ave., Safford, Arizona. The Planning and Zoning Commission will make a recommendation to the Safford City Council. The recommendation will be presented to the Safford City Council at a public hearing to be a held at 6:00 p.m. on February 10, 2020 in Safford’s Library Program Room, Safford Library Complex, 808 S. 7th Ave., Safford, Arizona.
Case Z-06-19, Zoning Request from C-2 to R-2. An application to rezone Graham County Parcel # 101-04-018A from C-2 Highway Commercial District to R-2 Multiple Family Residential District. The property address is 1024 S. 1st Ave., Safford AZ 85546. For the R-2 Zoning District, Section 17.36.010 of the Safford Municipal Code states:
The purpose of this zoning district is to provide for suitable and appropriate multifamily housing in locations which are suitable and appropriate.
