The Adopt-A-Roadway / Trail program is a great way to get involved and show pride in your community!
The following safety guidelines must be followed when participating in litter removal activities along City of Safford roadways:
Safety vests, gloves and glasses must be worn
Vehicles must be parked at least 30 feet from the roadway
Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted at the worksites
Litter cleanup should only be performed during daylight hours and good weather conditions
Cross only at designated locations
Litter should be picked up only on the right-of-way
Be sure to tie bags securely closed
Anyone under the influence of alcohol or narcotics will be asked to leave the worksite
Stay out of utility installations, culverts or drainage structures
