NOTICE
Water at the Cemetery will be available for landscaping purposes only according to the City Water Proclamation. Freezing temperatures will require the water be turned off to prevent broken water lines. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The City of Safford no longer has on-call personnel for after hour inspections at the Safford Union Cemetery. Please contact the City of Safford Public Works Department Monday thru Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.,
Permits and Guidelines

Answer: | One person may purchase up to 4 spaces |

Question: | What is the cost of one space? |
Answer: | Regular spaces (measuring 6'x12') are $465.00 per space. Cremation spaces (measuring 6'x'6') are $240.00. |

Question: | What is a Double Deck Burial or Companion Burial? |
Answer: | A Double Deck burial allows two persons to be buried in the same space, one below the other. This arrangement must be specified at the time of purchase. There is no additional charge per space for a Double Deck or Companion burial. |

Answer: | A Construction Activity Permit must be completed for any activity such as landscaping, headstone/marker placement and curbing. There is no fee for a Cemetery Construction Activity Permit. |

Answer: | No, the water spickets are provided by the City for public use throughout the cemetery. |
