The City of Safford owns and operates its own cemetery, located at 450 W Discovery Park Boulevard. 

Cemetery spaces are available for sale at the Clerk's Office. 

We have a list of spaces available for purchase through our office.  A groundskeeper is available at the cemetery until 2 p.m. Monday - Friday for any assistance locating spaces.

Q: How many cemetery spaces can I purchase?

     A: One person can purchase up to 4 spaces. 

Q: How much do cemetery spaces cost?

     A: Regular spaces (measuring 6' by 12') are $450.00 per space. Cremation spaces (measuring 6'x6') are $225.00 per space. 

Only one person may be buried per space unless approved by the Cemetery Supervisor.  "Double deck" burials are permitted which allows 2 persons to be buried in the same space, one below the other, but this must be specified at time of purchase (there is no additional charge per space for a Double Deck).   
 
 

Information needed for purchase of cemetery space(s):

     - Name, address and phone number of purchaser

     - A named beneficiary (this person will have authority over the spaces if the owner is not able to be contacted)

     - Purchaser will need to sign the purchase record
