E-Learning resources are designed to provide patrons with access to online study tools & software that allow for self-paced learning in a variety of formats.

All resources are provided free of charge. Sign up for some programs may require a valid library card.

 

 

 

CURRENT CLASSES BEING TAUGHT IN THE LIBRARY COMPUTER LAB
                               Must register for all classes.

 

 

Basic Computer Class - Everything you'd like to know as a computer beginner.  Learn how to use:  monitor, mouse, keyboard, turning a computer on and off, headphones, saving to CDs and USB (thumb/jump) drives, deleting, word processing, control panel, searching, and more!

Basic Internet Class - Everything you'd like to know starting out on the web including email ,getting online, computer terms, useful websites, search engines, setting your favorites, internet security, clearing files and more!  This class taught by a live teacher.


Basic Resume & Job Skills Class -  This class will cover selecting and preparing a resume type, types of job interviews, preparing for a job interview, how to succeed on a job interview and dealing with tricky questions and post-interview follow up.  This class taught by a live teacher.
This class will begin again in the fall.

Job Seeking Workshops -
Designed for those who need a resume but don't want to learn to create their own.  St. Vincent de Paul of Safford will have professionals available at the workshops who will type your resume, apply for you online and even set up an email for you if needed.  You will leave with your information, and with a hard copy of your resume. 
Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the Month  5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
                                           

GED Preparation

The Study Guide Zone offers a free, 84 page downloadable GED study guide in PDF format covering all major areas of the exam.

Test Prep Review provides 29 interactive assessment modules. Tests are graded immediately with solutions to incorrect answers.

Language study from the BBC

The British Broadcasting Corporation offers beginner and intermediate courses in several languages featuring games, audio & video and self-tests. Pick your language below and get started today.

Business Classes Online

The Small Business Administration offers online course on a wide variety of topics. the courses are all self-paced and should take about 30 minutes to complete.
