The Safford Police Department Mission Statement

The Safford Police Department's mission is to serve the public by furthering a partnership with the community to protect life and property, prevent crimes, and solve problems. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life by earning the mutual trust and respect of the community through our professionalism and commitment to excellence. Our vision
is to become a leader among agencies providing police services by placing a high priority on community involvement, education, customer service and respect for individual rights.

Office Hours:   Monday - Thursday from 7:00 A.M to 6:00 P.M.

With school starting we ask that you drive safe.
Please abide by the following:

  • Watch out for students walking to and from school
  • Remember that pedestrians in a school zone have the right of way
  • Do not enter the cross walk until all pedestrians have left the roadway
  • There is absolutely no passing in a school zone
  • The School Zones are 15 mph and the fines double
  • The school buses will also be out and stopping for kids
  • Remember that both directions of traffic must come to a complete stop when the stop sign is displayed in an outward position and flashing red lights are on
